Wanted to start the first post of this new venture by this image created by me to mark this year's Independence Day Celebrations. I would definitely start writing as usual, as its expected in any blog. But since this is a Blog dedicated to India-I would be happy to start with the positive side of Our Country.

This picture embodies the Cultural Diversity of India, It represents a very small portion of the humongous diversity a Great and Rich Country like India has. With All its Vibrancy and Colour, India represents many things to many people.

This blog is about my day to day thoughts about India-Its System, Its Governance, Its Problems, Its Solutions, Its Achievements , Its Failures and there on. There may be hundreds and thousands of blogs available on the same topic, where people use a blog to express their feelings about get in that Universal Trending word called "Change" . But I believe that "Every tiny drop, forms and ocean' , so this may be may be a small effort in that direction.

We all aspire that the system, Our Country becomes more and more efficient, more Transparent, more Responsive and more Responsible. I would make an attempt to raise such issues which enable us to understand about the complexities of the system and makes it take a look.

This is just the introduction, so i just wanted to outline the Idea behind the Blog. I am sure the following posts would make it more clearer.

All kind of Feedback is Welcome and Appreciated.

A Liberal India

Since the time I start understanding India's Politics ( At the age of 14-15 years) I have always formed my opinion on facts . Facts alone. All my writings on blogs and otherwise, even facebook posts and "status updates" based on India's socio-political fabric are facts. Facts are Res ipsa loquitur for me, they always do the talking. So whatever I am writing here in the next few paragraphs would also be build on facts, nothing else. Indian Politics is going through a very challenging time. On one hand there is an almost "discredited" Government in the eyes of the media, "counting its days" mired in Realities of Economics, Realities of Coalition Politics, Realities of an Obstructionist Opposition (to say the least), Realities of Anti-Incumbency. and so on. Neverthless, the Government at the centre is Liberal, Democratic and Secular Yes these 3 terms - Liberal, Democratic and Secular are the soul of India. In school, I was ext

The First Years: UPA Vs NDA

A Comparative Study : First Year of Modi Government Vs First Year of UPA Government Introduction In a Westminster form of Parliamentary Democracy, it is imperative to constantly gauge the mood of the people. 5 years is a long period for an elected Government to usher reforms, especially fulfilling the promises on which it is elected. The first year of any Government sows the seeds and perhaps lays tangible policy foundations for those promises to be fulfilled. But when an elected Government in its very first year of power fails to do so, especially where people are constantly scrutinizing the elected; it not only loses the faith of the people but puts the country to an uncertain future. The Narendra Modi Government will complete its first year in power this May end. Instead of comparing the 10 years of the previous UPA Government to just 1 year of the present NDA Government, this piece of writing will only compare the first year of UPA with the first year of Mod
